Anatomies of Air. Art Exhibition
Alice Brunello Luise at The Pocket Gallery
Opening: May 28, 2026, 19:00
Exhibition on view until: August 2026
Karne Kunst presents Anatomies of Air, a new site-specific installation by Berlin-based Italian artist Alice Brunello Luise at The Pocket Gallery.
Developed specifically for Berlin’s smallest gallery, a one-square-meter exhibition space open 24/7 inside Hotel Gat Point Charlie, the exhibition transforms the compact architecture of the space through suspended photographic mobiles and sculptural collage works that descend almost to the floor.
The installation unfolds as a layered environment of movement, transparency, fragmentation, and shifting visual relationships. Large suspended structures occupy the main exhibition area, while smaller interventions extend into other parts of the space, including the recessed wall niche and a central hanging element.
Working with photography, collage, translucent materials, and suspended forms, Brunello Luise creates delicate compositions where bodies appear fragmented, partially hidden, multiplied, or dissolved into textures and shadows. The works explore intimacy, emotional tension, instability, and transformation through an atmospheric and spatial approach.
Conceived in direct dialogue with The Pocket Gallery, the exhibition uses the proximity between artwork, architecture, and viewer as a central element. The installations can be encountered from only a few steps away, allowing subtle movements, transparencies, and suspended details to become part of the experience itself.
Rather than functioning as separate works, Anatomies of Air operates as a single immersive composition , a temporary suspended landscape where fragility, softness, and visibility coexist continuously within the urban flow of Berlin.
